JoAnna and Alex are less than half a year away from their Memorial weekend elopement at Zion National Park. To say we are excited is most certainly an understatement. The travel bug bit us bad recently. So when JoAnna told me she wanted to take us to Utah, you can bet your butt I said, “Hell yeah!” Zion is on our bucket list of places to visit. And the fact we get to photograph a beautiful wedding there for two of the coolest humans ever? I’m still in shock.
One cold, fall morning we traveled to North Carolina for this Craggy Gardens engagement session. Morning are rough for us, but totally worth the grogginess and grumpy bickering when we get to make art like this. Although we missed the sunrise, the day didn’t disappoint. Because it was before noon, lighting was a challenge and kinda weird. That’s the best I can describe it. Weird lighting and dying trees. But it was a success and we had so much fun freezing our asses off. Sometimes, harsh light really isn’t so bad. And frankly, I like a good challenge.
