Bristol Train Station Wedding | Heath + Hayley

The morning of October 5th, 2019, Heath and Hayley prepared for their wedding in the same place they had their first date – the Bristol Train Station in the small town of Bristol, Virginia.

How They Met:

Seven years before, in early August of 2012, they had attended a Mumford and Sons concert together right in front of the train station after a mutual friend tried setting them up. Though the sparks didn’t go wild back then, fast forward to January 2017 when they had a class together. A friendship formed, which quickly turned into a beautiful relationship. Hayley said she knew it was meant to be. On December 15th, 2018 Heath proposed to Hayley at the Biltmore in Asheville, NC surrounded by their families.

What was your favorite moment from the day?

Hayley said, “My favorite part of the whole day was when the ceremony door opened and I finally got to see his face. I always joked and said if he didn’t cry I was turning around and I’d walk down the aisle again…guess I got my wish because he was balling. But really, that was the best.”

Heath and I are those people that get each other gifts and have to give them to each other right after we buy them because we’re so excited. So to have to keep my dress a secret was very hard. Ten months of planning and last minute things changing and going wrong… all of it was worth it. And a million miles away when I finally got to see my husband’s sweet face and stand beside him to say our vows.

I also loved at the end of the ceremony when our preacher Steve asked us to repeat to each other what Ruth said to Naomi in the Bible:

Where you go, I’ll stay. Your people will be my people. And your God will be my God.

Those words just really say it all.”

Sometimes, a venue is just a venue. But in this case, it was so much more than that. The Bristol Train Station was the beginning and the end of Hayley and Heath’s first chapter. A story like theirs just goes to show that timing is everything.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say – I can’t wait to see what their next chapter looks like.
