When we first met Haley and Ethan, they told us they’d never had professional photos taken together. They were a little nervous, worried they might feel awkward in front of the camera. But from the very first few frames, it was clear—awkward simply wasn’t part of their story.
Whether it’s Haley’s background as a dancer or just the natural rhythm they share, the two of them moved together so effortlessly. Every laugh, every glance, every quiet in-between moment felt genuine and unforced. They didn’t need much direction—just a little space to be themselves. And when they were, it was undeniable: comfortable, connected, and completely in love.

This session took place at Amis Mill, and it was actually the third couple’s session we had photographed for Haley and Ethan before they eloped a few months later. By this point, we knew their rhythm, their energy, the way they naturally fell into each other. I had a feeling Amis Mill would be the perfect backdrop for them—and it absolutely was.

There’s something so effortlessly romantic about this place. It’s simple and understated, yet beauty is tucked into every corner. The waterfall cascading over the rocks, the towering trees lining the water, the way the golden sunset spills over the hills—it all feels timeless.
Their engagement session honestly looked like something pulled from a fairytale… or the pages of a Jane Austen novel. Soft light, quiet laughter, stolen glances. It was peaceful and poetic in the most natural way—just like them.

The Perfect Location for Engagement Photos
This Amis Mill engagement session is one I’ll be trying to top for years to come. Every element felt beautifully aligned—the soft, glowing light, the timeless charm of the location, and a couple so naturally connected it almost didn’t feel real.
Some sessions just come together in a way you can’t quite plan. The golden hour wrapped around them perfectly, the water caught the light just right, and Haley and Ethan moved through it all so effortlessly. It was the kind of evening photographers dream about—the kind that reminds you exactly why you fell in love with storytelling in the first place.
