Hayley + Heath are just about two of the nicest human beings you’ll ever meet and although the live about 5 minutes from us, we decided to travel over to the mountains of North Carolina – right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We traveled to Black Balsam Knob for their engagement session and on most days, it is usually bathed in the evening sun with 360° panoramic mountain vistas surrounding you. But this day was a little different.
The Fog.
Mountains and sunsets are usually your go-to recipe if you want those instagram-worthy photos for all of your friends to ooo and ahhh at. But I don’t know a single photographer that would get upset when Old Man Fog shows up. The fog makes for intense, ethereal images that let you focus on the people instead of the landscape (most photographers are guilty of this – including myself).
Hayley + Heather were absolute troopers though. They loved the fog just as much as I did. And when that happens – magic is the result. Today proved that magic is real.
